Another week has flown by and we are a wee bit closer to meeting our munchkin! I’m considered “full term” now so babe could technically arrive anytime! Baby Rich is the size of a honeydew melon. Speaking of honeydew melon, I could really go for some right about now! I haven’t really had any serious pregnancy cravings at all during my pregnancy. Actually, the only thing I recall desperately craving was Bagelfuls – Only to discover that they DO NOT EXIST anymore… Disappointed would be an understatement. I’ve been feeling pretty good this week, aside from the usual of being tired pretty much all the time. I’ve also been finding myself to be a lot more emotional than I typically am. I rarely ever cry, or at least it usually takes quite a bit for me to cry, but now I find myself on the verge of tears over such stupid little things (like Costco being closed when I needed to go grocery shopping…), and I’m also so incredibly irritable about literally everything at the moment, so thanks for that pregnancy hormones!
We have to go to Kamloops next weekend for a course Joey is taking! It’ll be really nice to have one last little weekend getaway together before baby arrives. It’ll also give me a chance to get my Christmas shopping done while Joey’s in his course on Saturday and Sunday. We’re just really hoping that I don’t go into labour while we’re in Kamloops because my mom is planning to meet us in Prince George to be there when the baby is born, and Kamloops would be an extra 6 hours of driving for her… So not very feasible! But I guess whatever happens, happens!
I’m still slowly working on getting the house organized and decorated the way I want it, as well as doing a little bit of Christmas decorating. I’m really excited that this is our first Christmas in our new home, but I’m definitely going “minimalistic” on the Christmas decor this year – Mostly because I don’t have the energy or ambition to do much more. I’m also planning on getting a bit of Christmas baking done, but thankfully my parents are coming for Christmas and my mom is bringing a bunch of her yummy Christmas goodies!
I just got back from Prince George on Friday, after spending a couple days with my parents doing some shopping, and a lil bit of getting spoiled and pampered thanks to my mama. I am so excited to report that my list of “baby necessities” is officially (almost) all checked off! I also discovered The Bulk Barn while I was in PG, and oh my, this could be the beginning of a very bad addiction! They had so many different flavours of chocolate chips, and candy, and dog treats, and spices, and everything under the sun!
I’m in the midst of finishing up packing our hospital bags and we will install the carseat this week before we go to Kamloops (just in case!), and then we’ll be all ready! Or at least as ready as we can possibly be! I still can’t believe how close to the end we already are… We will have our little love in our arms before we know it!
