Two months have passed since we finally got to meet the love of our life. Joey is repetitively telling me that he’s never seen me this happy before – I’ve never felt this happy before. My life has never felt so purposeful and fulfilled until Adeline came along. I’m not saying it’s been all sunshine & rainbows… But there’s been a lot of sunshine & rainbows. I constantly feel like we won the lottery with this little girl. I’m not exaggerating when I say she wakes up with a grin on her face most days. She’s such a happy little soul, and I’m so grateful that we get to spend the rest of our lives watching her grow. She’s the best thing I’ve ever been blessed with.
To Our Addie Girl:
You are two months old! Somehow this month flew by even faster than the last one. Your little personality is shining through more each day – You are such a sweetheart. 💗 And you are such a smiley little girl. It’s the best thing in the world. I could just watch your little smiles for hours. You are definitely a morning person… Which you get from your dad, for sure. You are still sleeping through the night most nights, and we are still SO thankful that we aren’t too sleep deprived at this point! You’re still wearing size one diapers, and you’ve finally moved up to 0- 3 month clothing! You’re still so dainty, but you’re finally putting some chub on, especially on those little cheeks! You seem to get taller by the day, and I’m convinced you’re going to be taller than me by the time you’re 10. You love your play mat, and you are quite content hanging out on it, especially when Scout joins you! 🐶 You love your doggy! And he loves you so much, too. You are always smiling when he comes and lays down beside you, and when he gives you little kisses. You love music – In fact, you might even be addicted to it. 🎶 You love snuggles, and reading stories! You seem to enjoy my terrible, out-of-tune singing voice too. You love bathing! 🛁 You love tummy time! You also love standing up – You are so strong! 💪 I think your only true dislike (aside from being hungry, being gassy, or needing your diaper changed) is the hiccups! Which you get at least once a day.
I’ve loved watching you grow and learn these past two months, and I can’t put into words how excited I am to continue to watch you discover new things, and flourish into your own little person. You have truly filled me with an abundant supply of happiness… Some days are really tough, but then I look at you, and there is the sweetest smile in the world. And I am reminded that everything is going to be okay, everything is going to be wonderful – Because I have you.
I can’t wait to see what the next month brings us. Especially because it’s going to bring us a new cousin for you!
You are so loved, Miss Adeline.
